Recruiting is about building relationships so it also helps to have an outgoing personality and a willingness to explore outside one's comfort zone. A successful recruiter must be able to talk with and truly listen to people and possess a genuine desire to help others. Additionally, one must have a strong belief in the organized "Navy" that you recruit for and understand that you are not recruiting numbers; you are looking for your relief in the fleet.
